Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people and children? Do you have an interest in play work and supporting young people with their wellbeing and independence.

We are looking to recruit an Activity Ranger, using your skills as a practitioner in Play to always be a positive role model and use play techniques to engage with and support young people in services we provide such as play clubs, short breaks, school support and at the Ranger Station.

We use Play to support young people between the ages of 4 - 13, helping young people to understand their world, have access to play and activities which may support with wellbeing, routines, understanding the world, educational attainment and isolation.

**Role Overview**:
As an Activity Ranger you will play a vital role in supporting access to facilities to improve physical engagement and wellbeing whilst ensuring standards are high both in terms of customer service and being a positive role model for young people.

**About the role**
- Coordinate with team members and manage a diverse range of play-based and sports provisions that focus on increasing physical activity, educational attainment and improving wellbeing of young people.
- Support the team with administration needs relating to the projects you are involved in.
- Focus on play based strategies, safeguarding children and ensuring health and safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Your role will include supporting young people at the Ranger Station Prosect Park, being a role model for young people, this can consist of supporting with our onsite activities including low ropes, mini golf, archery and sports.
- Working with young people with learning disabilities or additional needs.

Qualifications or experience:

- Experience working with young people or running similar leisure or play services.
- Confidence to work with children and young people with play-based learning.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships.
- A passion for supporting the personal development and well-being of individuals.
