**Description**

We are currently seeking a **Materials Manager **to join an established, rapidly growing family-run SME based in **Boldon**. This role requires a driven and detail-oriented buyer who will be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for the company. The company have never had a dedicated buyer despite purchasing over 7m stock annually so this role has fast track career progression opportunities with a potential seat at the senior leadership team table.

**Key duties and responsibilities...**
- Line management of the warehouse and inbound/outbound logistics functions
- Researching, selecting, and purchasing products, and the exploration of new materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve the best possible quality, continuity, prices, and delivery
- Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best pricing
- Working with the management team on supplier evaluation and contingency planning
- Managing the whole inventory and ensuring stocks are kept at appropriate levels
- Ensuring the effective transport of goods and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery

**Requirements**:

- International buying experience
- Proven line management experience
- NetSuite ERP system (preferred)
- Sage 50 accounts experience preferred)
- Experience working within a manufacturing and warehouse environment
- A diplomatic personality with the ability to communicate with all levels within the company, and with suppliers
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills, both written and verbal
- A willingness to undertake occasional domestic and/or international travel

**Hours**: Monday-Friday 08:00-16:30 (no weekends)

**Benefits**
- Salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (neg)
