Responsibility with the current Elderly Care Physicians, for the provision of a service with prospective cross cover. Clinical responsibility with consultant support for elderly patients with frailty on the Virtual Frailty Ward and the Acute Frailty ward including a daily MDT. Responsibility for supporting the community virtual ward and ARCHES team. This work is in partnership with Dr Watt, Dr Ralston and Dr Fishlock, Dr Norman and Dr Atkinson and includes prospective cover.

To be involved in the development and governance of the Virtual Frailty Ward and Acute Frailty Services To regularly devote time for the training and supervision of junior medical staff and/or ACP trainees, and contributing as appropriate to undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing medical education. To manage personal workload in such a way as to ensure that capacity is maximised and quality of care is optimised. Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the nursing and support staff within the team. Provision of advice to Trust Managers, local General Practitioners and other interested parties, on the provision, planning and development of medical services.

Explore service modernisation opportunities such as preventative care and development of community led initiatives/support to primary care. To participate in the recruitment of junior medical staff and staff of other disciplines as appropriate. To assist the Human Resources Department to follow the local and national employment policies and procedures. To participate in audit with the support of the Trust Clinical Governance department
