We are now seeking a Kit Cutter to join our growing team.

Starting Salary: £11.44 per hour

Working week: 40 hrs per week

Monday -Thursday 8am-5pm with 30 minute lunch

Friday: 8.00am-2.30pm with 30 minute lunch

Based at our Kitting centre, Unit T, Vantage Way, Poole Dorset

Key responsibilities:

- Setting up and operating CNC kit machines.
- Checking cutting program is correct to cutting instructions.
- Comprehension of cutting instructions and accurate counting of cut batches and material consumption.
- Loading/changing rolls of prepreg, fabrics/paper/poly.
- Ensuring the correct material is cut to the required parts, as per the cutting instructions.
- Visual inspection of kits for clean cut and quality of materials cut, reporting any defects found to the team leader, supervisor or management.
- Packing and labelling products as per the cutting instruction.
- Keeping the production area clean and tidy, managing waste
- Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe and professional manner.
- Partial service work of machines (cleaning from dust, oiling, replacing filters, vacuuming) taking care of the workplace and the equipment used.
- Reporting any equipment issues or any other issues that may affect health and safety, quality or further damage to said equipment.

**Health, Safety and Environment**
- To ensure that the manufacturing facilities operate in accordance with PRF Health Safety and environmental guidelines, including direct reports and visitors.
- To actively participate in safety meetings.
- To bring health and safety improvement suggestions to the team leaders attention, whilst ensuring those that can be dealt with resources and equipment to hand are dealt with immediately.
- To ensure that all near misses, accidents and injuries are reported in line with PRF policies and procedures to the team leader.
- To ensure that you only perform tasks that you have been trained to do and capable of performing making the team leader aware of any such issues in performing said task(s)
- To ensure that any spills of chemical type materials are dealt with accordingly, preventing the risk of chemical contamination of water sources.
- To report any broken, damaged or unsafe equipment that is used in any production task to the team leader - if the equipment is not safe to operate, do not operate and bring that to the attention of the team leader immediately.
- To always wear the correct PPE for the task, this is mandatory and not optional. Refusal to comply will result in disciplinary action.
- To ensure that all waste is correctly handled, packaged, and managed to comply with disposal and recycling requirements.

**Quality**
- To ensure that all PRF work instructions, procedures and policies are followed and implemented correctly in support of customer and quality standards such as ISO9001.
- To ensure that documents that do not reflect reality of process are reported to the team leader so they can be reviewed and corrected where required.
- To operate all equipment in accordance with PRF work instructions, procedures and manufacturers recommended guidelines.
- To ensure that all material failures/non-conforming materials are brought to the team leaders’ attention.
- To always follow the production standard operating procedures ensuring all conditions such as temperatures, speeds and any other required settings are maintained with the limits. Any deviations should be brought to the team leaders attention immediately as any changes could impact product quality.
- To complete all required documentation used in manufacture of resin, prepreg or any other materials.
- To make suggestions that will improve the quality of process, these are to include saving time, use of equipment and systems that enhance our processes.
- To only use the correct, controlled documents in the manufacturing process.
- To understand your obligation to ensuring PRF only manufacturers product that meets or exceeds the customer expectations, contributing opinions to your team leader where improvements to quality could be made but not implementing them until approval has been granted.
- To train new starters in accordance with the PRF training program, ensuring that procedures are used in accordance with shadowing, support the team leader as required.
