**Accountable/ Reportable To**:Operations Team Leader & CS & Operations Manager

**Attitude & Conduct**

- Understand you are representing Kernow Fixings in all duties performed and that your conduct will be a lasting reflection of the service received from us.
- Be co-operative, respond to and follow instructions, embracing any other reasonable duties as allocated/instructed by the Operations Team Leader, Operations Manager or Company Directors.

**Daily Checks & Vehicle Maintenance**
- To check the vehicle in accordance with the drivers daily check sheet and to take action as required before departure, escalate to management if necessary.
- To adhere to transport legislation in accordance to the rules in place.
- On return, removing all personal possessions and rubbish (cans/bottles etc) off the vehicle in addition to the once-a-week full vehicle clean.
- Ensuring the vehicle is returned with a full tank of fuel.
- Making management aware of all vehicle defects and maintenance requirements as soon as possible via drivers daily Fleet check app. Helping to always keep our delivery fleet clean and in good working order.
- To be aware of and how to follow the company procedure and vehicle policy including vehicle breakdowns.

**Loading the Vehicle**
- Ensure all deliveries are accounted for and loaded, include steel work & boxes etc.
- any items not received or extra to what is stated on the planned route must be reported before leaving.
- To check load items, security and all necessary equipment, Paperwork and fuel cards are on board prior to leaving the depot for the day’s journey.
- To be aware of the legal load capacity of the vehicle to be driven.
- Assist and support other team members as necessary or directed.

**Delivery**
- To follow the organised pre-planned route and maintain delivery schedule and drop times in accordance with instructions on the Max Optra routing system. Where necessary call customers on a next drop basis to advise of ETA.
- Always communicate any issues encountered throughout the day so we can inform our customers immediately of any delayed / failed delivery.
- To unload goods at the customer’s premises / Site safely, efficiently and always in a considerate and polite fashion taking into account the care and attention for the general public at all times.
- You will also be responsible for and measured by the following criteria:

- Obtaining signatures for consignments delivered
- Taking pictures of every delivery made.

Being aware of and completing as necessary all company required documentation

**Key Skills Attributes Essential;**
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and work ethic
- Numerical and focused on accuracy.
- Pays attention to detail.
- Experienced in stock management software
- Good problem solving skills.
- Remains calm under pressure.
- FLT Counter Balance and Reach Licence desirable but not essential.
- H&S basic or higher desirable but not essential.
- Good IT skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, Office 365, ERP Systems or higher role dependant.
- Qualifications - GCSE/AS/A Level or higher role dependant.
- Driving Licence (Only applicable if the nature of the job requires driving)

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
