**Overview**:
We are currently seeking an experienced LGV Class 1 Shunter to join our team. This is a day shift position with a 4 on / 4 off schedule. As an LGV Class 1 Shunter, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving trailers within our customers facility.

**Duties**:

- Shunt trailers within the yard using a TUG vehicle.
- Perform safety checks on the vehicle before and after each shift
- Communicate with the various teams to ensure timely movement of trailers
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety and security
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Refuelling trailers when required
- Liasing directly with customer departments on trailer movements
- Ensuring trailers are presented for maintenance as per the schedule
- Reporting any defects with trailers
- Ensure temperature monitoring controls are carried out
- Other duties as required by the Transport Manager or the Transport team.

**Experience**:

- Valid LGV Class 1 license
- Proven experience as a shunter preferred
- A minimum of two years proven Class 1 experience
- Familiarity with fridge trailers preferred
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure
