**Junior Buyer**

**Location**: Milton Keynes

Our reputable client based in Milton Keynes is currently seeking a Junior Buyer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. The Junior Buyer will be an Assistant Buyer looking for the next step or a Junior Buyer looking for a new challenge. Theywill have experience in an online retail, buying or catalogue/range management role and need to be comfortable in a very fast-moving environment and have worked as part of a team with stakeholders reliant on their input and output of work and be aware of theimportance of deadlines.

The role will ensure the smooth operation of the Rewards Team from an administrative perspective. Responsibility for product procurement and supplier management as guided by upline to deliver the best possible value for the company from allocated supplierand retailer relationships

**Key responsibilities**:

- Works under direct supervision and can act under indirect supervision
- Support the rewards team by compiling, analysing and interpreting data to assist with a commercially viable, appealing range of merchandise (and other products) at competitive prices in relevant markets
- As requested by Head of procurement/Senior Buyer build, manage, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure excellent quality of service and adherence of SLAs and KPIs.
- Work with internal teams to build compelling reward propositions and assist with all client requests for product proposals and pricing.
- Support operational implementation of new Reward campaigns from brief to launch, including assisting in the sales process where necessary.
- Pro-actively suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of service and identify and implement Reward/Reward Product enhancement opportunities.
- Accountability for driving the timely resolution of any Reward/Reward Product issues.
- Help finding new suppliers to improve upon the existing range.
- Actively seek pertinent information regarding competitor products, pricing and marketing strategies and tactics wherever possible.

**Key skills and experience**:

- Experience in an online retailer, in an Assistant Buyer/ Junior Buyer role.
- Comfortable to work in a multicultural department with global internal stakeholder and global suppliers
- Ability to work in cross functional teams
- Being able to be flexible and quickly adapt when taking on additional workload
- Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Confident, positive, and can-do attitude.
- Self-starter and 'closer’ of projects.
- Multi-tasking skills with the ability to work in high-pressure, fast paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent command of the English language (spoken as well as written).
- Other languages are a bonus but not essential
