Protec Fire Detection have an opportunity for a BIM Coordinator to work within Protec's Special Projects/Custodial Team, specifically working with Revit and AutoCAD to produce contract documents, models and drawings. The position ideally is based at Protec's Head Office in Nelson, Lancashire, or at our Leeds Regional Office but there is the option of the position being a hybrid role, working from the office and remotely from home.

- 37.5 hours per week**Typical Responsibilties**:

- Assist Design Engineer with technical design tasks.
- Modelling/drafting, detailing & sheet production.
- Attendance of client/trade contractor design meetings/workshops.
- Attendance of BIM coordination meeting when technical support is required.
- Issuing of project documents to internal/external CDE for Approval.
- Liaise with BIM lead and Project Design Engineer to assist with project set up.
- Resolution and management of clashes.
- Ensure correct use of project cloud files.
- QA and auditing of project models.
- Help resolve design issues utilising cloud tools e.g BIMCollab.
- Assist Project Design Engineer in the management/updating of 3rd party models.
- Monitoring CDE’s and liaising with stakeholders to capture changes/instructions and updating design documents and drawings accordingly.
- Preparation of design documentation ready for commissioning.
- Production of design deliverables in line with project program.
- Production of project progress reports.
