Tax Manager working for a a regional accountancy firm based in Bolton
**Your new firm
**This highly-reputable regional chartered accountancy practice offers a variety of services in Accountancy, Audit and Taxation across a multitude of both common and specialist sectors including non-for-profit. This Bolton-based firm are currently recruitingfor a Tax Manager position as the incumbent in the role will be relocating abroad.
**Your new role**
In this Bolton job as a Tax Manager your main responsibilities will include managing your own varied portfolio, made up of both large owner managed businesses and a portion of smaller clients for the firm, reporting to the director. You will have managers thatwill assist on your duties however the more complicated advice work will be mainly your focus. You can expect to be involved in projects across corporate and personal tax. On the corporate side you will complete compliance on audit tax reviews, employmentrelated security returns, clearances and advisory projects on matters such as company restructuring, succession planning, EMI share options, company valuations and also R&D tax credit claims. On the personal side, you will operate across - Inheritance TaxPlanning, residency issues, probate and SA compliance and more. You will also be required to have an awareness of trusts and the associated compliance and possible advice, as well as their registration. In this job you may also complete work for other localfirm s in the area which both can increase the support available to you as well and broaden your exposure with different clients. This role may well transgress into a more senior position as you become more established in the firm, there is no glass ceilingwithin this organisation.
**What you'll need to succeed
**In order to be a successful applicant for this Lancashire, Bolton-based job opportunity, you will have experience of offering tax planning advice to a diverse portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients at a high level, and be an ambitious individual,keen to thrive within a collaborative work environment to maintain excellent standards of client care. An ability to recognise and spot opportunities to facilitate an increase in the departments fee income while being an expert tax adviser would make you highlyqualified for a role of this ilk. You will have excellent communication and research skills and ideally be CTA qualified due to the broad nature of the position.
