As a result of this proposition we’re seeking an **experienced Property and Casualty Underwriter** to join us at our Birmingham City Centre Office.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Acting as an Authority holder focussed on winning and retaining business of a large and complex nature
- Providing excellent service to our customers
- To build and develop successful Broker relationships
- To be visible in the local market, you will thrive on face to face contact with brokers and end customers
- To develop business relationships with key clients
- To achieve agreed financial and operational performance targets
- To collaborate strongly with other departments to achieve the Company's goals in respect of service delivery

**About you**
- Outstanding technical underwriting skills in commercial property and/or casualty
- Proven track record of dealing with large and/or complex risks
- Capable of leveraging data and analytics
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Excellent trading skills and a confident negotiator. Proven experience in handling large cases.
- Strong ability to build, develop and maintain broker relationships.
- Achievement orientated, able to organise own workload to meet tight deadlines and with a positive attitude.
- A good team player. Supportive to others with an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
- Confident and engaging communication skills with the ability to challenge and influence others.
- ACII qualified or progression towards
- Full working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
