**Bench Joiner - Exhibitions**

Tockwith, North Yorkshire

£14 - £16 per hour

7:30am - 4:00pm + time and a half overtime opportunity (double on Sundays)

An amazing opportunity to work with a highly reputable multi-disciplined manufacturing company working within the creative industries. This company work with high profile clients such as Google, The BBC, Amazon, Netflix, and governments, producing products from Olympic Cauldrons to TV sets, or giant artworks and jaw-dropping structures. Their work can be seen around the world and falls into the theatre, TV set, ceremonies, art installations, architectural pavilions, and large-scale event categories. They pride themselves on being dedicated, hard-working, and innovative whilst providing excellent customer service for their clients and their complex designs.

**Information on the role**
- Construct components as required, ensuring high standards in finish & tolerances
- Follow day to day production plants to meet project deadlines
- Liaise with design & production teams, providing input into new ideas/designs
- Work with other Carpenters/Joiners, taking projects from start to finish including a full test build
- Work with minimum/no supervision when required, solving problems & making decisions
- Attend briefing meetings & make suggestions for production
- Record all builds as complete, ensuring the internal database is checked off
- Help & manage the quality control of finished items, reporting to the QMS
- Adhere to & promote a safe working environment

**What we’d like from you**
- Apprentice trained or time-served Carpentry/Joinery experience
- Excellent knowledge or wood materials
- Thorough knowledge of wood working machinery/equipment
- Experience working to varying product deadlines and changing specification
- Demonstratable laminating skills
- Comfortable reading engineering drawings
- Experience in Shopfitting, Exhibition, Site, Bench, or Bespoke
- Experience working with Acrylic, Corian, Laminates, Veneers, Hardwoods & GRP
- Knowledge of H&S and correct use of PPE
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary workshop environment
- Excellent drive, enthusiasm, positivity, and flexibility
- Organisational and time management skills

**Salary**: £14.00-£16.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
