**Our client a very forward-thinking accountancy practice is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their expanding team.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Undertaking bookkeeping duties for their own portfolio of clients (various industries and sizes).
- Managing deadlines related to your client’s work
- Reconcile control accounts (bank, purchase ledger, sales ledger, PAYE, wages, VAT etc.)
- Timely completion of VAT returns
- Prepare reports, letters, and other documents
- Prepare management accounts and accompanying information.
- Where necessary train and support clients.
- Establish a rapport with clients, directors, managers, and staff

**Requirements**:

- Ability to use own initiative and work autonomously, as well as part of a team
- Adaptable, keen, and flexible approach
- Punctual and attentive to support a busy team
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise a very busy workload and work effectively under pressure
- Professional telephone manner
- Diplomatic, discreet, polite and patient
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain relationships with senior team members, clients and suppliers
- Technical skills:_
- At least 1 years’ experience of working in practice as a bookkeeper, relevant industry experience would also be considered
- Good IT skills (including MS Word and Excel)
- Experience of using QuickBooks & Xero

**Package**
- £25,000 - £32,000
- Ideally full time (37.5 hours per week) but part time maybe considered
- Hybrid working
