This **Production Editor** is a full-time permanent position based in our Covent Garden office in London.

**Responsibilities**
- Liaising with authors to ensure timely delivery of manuscripts
- Answering author queries related to book production
- Check proofread, and on occasion copyedit manuscripts to ensure format adheres to house style
- Attend regular team meetings to discuss and update progress of manuscripts
- Prepare back-cover blurb and liaise with designers for cover design
- Maintain accurate book information on company database
- Work with manager to develop and maintain overall budget
- Participation in ad-hoc projects and administration matters by management

**Opportunities**
- To develop, shape or refine editorial processes to ensure the highest quality service is provided to authors
- Internal training provided, plus annual training budget for external coursed

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field
- Strong interest in networking with authors
- Sound understanding of editorial copy editing and proofreading standards
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to manage multiple projects
- Proven ability to work independently as well as a team
- Legal rights to work in UK

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00 per year
