We are looking for motivated Finance Assistant to join our team. This is a broad role, supporting our Financial Controller with all matters across all of our departments. The successful applicant will help to provide timely and accurate financial information to Head Office and to local management. **Could this be your next job?**

**You can work from our lovely office in Kent, or remotely if you prefer, but travel to our Kent office will be required from time to time.**

If you have a minimum of 1-2 years post finance experience, a good understanding of general ledgers and high attention to detail, we believe this is an exciting opportunity for you to join our mission.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To liaise with and answer financial queries from internal and external stakeholders in a friendly and efficient manner
- Manage UK and US payroll with external accountants - this will involve paying employees with high attention to detail
- Liaising with external accountants on company house fillings - i.e. annual accounts, shareholder documents
- Daily banking and credit card reconciliations
- Review and submit VAT returns on a quarterly basis
- Assist with monthly management accounts
- Main responsible for the P2P process: helping teams to raise purchase orders where needed, posting invoices, process payments (payment runs)
- Creating sales invoices and chasing suppliers for payments (credit control)
- Working hand in hand with Financial Controller to scale the finance department on the growth journey
- Assist the financial controller with the external auditors
- Administrative and ad hoc duties

**Requirements**:

- 1-2 years of Finance experience
- Good understanding of general ledgers
- Excel proficiency - pivot tablets, formulas
- Strong, confident and articulate communicator
- High attention to detail
- Highly organised

Additional desirable experience:

- Part-qualified
- Experience of working in a start-up or similar small business
- Experience of producing statutory accounts
- Knowledge of creating group consolidation accounts
