**Salary**: £31,406 - £40,927 per annum, pro rata

The role
We are looking for a suitably qualified Lecturer to deliver teaching, assessment and support for the undergraduate programmes in the School, specifically but not exclusively, for the BSc Oral and Dental Health Sciences. You will be expected to contribute to curriculum development, and the wider academic, scholarly, administrative and professional requirements of the School.
The University has developed an Academic Job Summary Guidance document which summarises the range of activities that academic staff may be expected to perform.
This role is part time for 22.2 hours per week.
Key Accountabilities
- Contribute to the delivery of an exceptional educational experience to undergraduate students of the school specifically but not exclusively those undertaking the BSc in Oral & Dental Health Sciences (ODHS)
- Work under the direction of and support senior leadership team of the BSc programme
- Take an active and significant role in the development and delivery of teaching and assessment within the BSc ODHS programme
- Make a contribution to the pastoral support of students
- Identify and undertake a programme of professional development
- Undertake all required administrative duties related to programme delivery as appropriate to role
- Any other tasks appropriate to the post and in line with School’s business needs, such as development of new educational programmes and/or CPD
The Person (Essential)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- In-depth knowledge of the field of dental therapy at a level applicable to the undergraduate BSc Oral & Dental Health Sciences curriculum
- Experience of teaching dental/dental therapy undergraduates
- Broad understanding of the UG programmes within the School

**Qualifications**:
- Higher Education Diploma in Dental Hygiene or Dental Hygiene and Therapy/BSc in Oral and Dental Health Sciences (or equivalent) with significant post qualification experience
- Full registration with the United Kingdom General Dental Council
- Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma or Masters in Clinical Education or Fellowship with the HEA
