**Job Description**:
**Governance and Compliance Officer** required by a leading international membership organisation based in central London.
This is a PART TIME, PERMANENT ROLE, working 4 days per week (28 hours per week) - offices located in the City of London - this organisation has a hybrid working model (i.e. both office based and remote/working).
Salary circa £36,000 to £36,500 pro rata excellent benefits - interviews in March 2023.
The post holder will provide a full range of high level administrative support in the governance and compliance function. You will act as secretary to various Board sub-committees and panels, arranging and sourcing venues as well as preparing and circulating agendas and taking minutes. The role will involve liaising with trustees, committee members and Senior Executive Team members, assisting with member elections and updating pages on our website. In addition to governance duties, you will also provide data protection advice and administrative support including administering our e-learning system. Experience of working in a governance role is essential as is experience of formal meeting agenda management and minute taking. Experience in a data protection role or experience of working in a professional membership organisation or charity would be an advantage.
Duties include:

- Act as Secretary to allocated Board Committees, sub-committees and panels.- Prepare, draft, and circulate papers and agendas, write and distribute meeting minutes, update action logs and co-ordinate follow up actions- Arrange and co-ordinate committee meetings including sourcing venues and monitoring budgets as appropriate.- Support appointments to Committees, Panels and wider governance bodies as required.- Take responsibility for updating and maintaining Governance pages on the website- Assist with arrangements for presentations of Awards and Honorary Memberships as appropriate.- Support the delivery of General Assembly meetings.- Support all member elections including; General Assembly, Vice-President; Board of Trustees and any organisational ballots required- Participate in corporate projects from time to time.- Manage and administer the e-learning system for trustees including setting up new joiners, monitoring and reporting progress and supporting colleagues to set up bespoke e-learning on the system as necessary.- Update the governance and data protection sections on the intranet.- Maintain the data breach log and draft data breach reports for each incident.- Ensure existing policies are up-to-date and compliant, and, where necessary, write new policies.- Ensure mandatory online training is provided annually for all colleagues and report non-compliance to the Head of HR and Compliance.
