**The main purpose of the role**:
The People are at the very core of our business and the main purpose of the role of a Head of People and Culture is to ensure a fair, equal and consistent proactive approach is applied to all HR practises. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a high-quality service throughout the employee lifecycle, working closing with key stakeholders in the business to identify areas of opportunity and create HR strategies in line with business strategy and objectives.

You will play a key role in ensuring that the companies’ purpose and virtues are always live across the company and are embodied in all common business practices, creating and positive a healthy workplace which is diverse, equal, and inclusive to all. Leading by example you will be the main authority on all things people related and use your insight and leadership skills to challenge the norm.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Create and implement HR strategies in line with business objectives.
- Advise key stakeholders at board level on business strategy.
- Advise key stakeholders at board level on ER matters, highlighting and mitigating risk.
- Strategic planning of HR, departmental structure, paying consideration to growth.
- Participate with acquisitions and undertake with due diligence.
- Create, implement and review HR processes.
- Lead business projects in relation to HR areas such as Culture, Benefits and Rewards.
- Manage the People Team, overseeing and responsible for the daily function of the department.
- Create, implement and develop HR strategy in relation to company’s training and development.
- Be responsible for producing, providing and presenting top level HR statistics in relation to People in monthly board meetings.
- Identifying ways to improve attraction and retention.
- Managing departmental budget

**As a Head of People and Culture, you will**:

- Be required to hold a CIPD Qualification at minimum Level 5 or above.
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a managerial HR role.
- Have experience in a commercial environment, being able to identify and mitigate risk to the business.
- Have experience in managing and supporting with acquisitions.
- Industry specific experience is desirable however not essential.
- Be able to work with autonomy and also as a part of a team
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, reacting to changes in the landscape and making quick decision during critical times
- Be people focused, encompassing ambition to drive the HR department forward along with commitment to invest in your own development into a board level role
- Inspire and lead the People Team.
