Stores Operative

**The Company**

Makefast is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of a wide range of quality products for luxury marine craft and safety products and hardware.

Based across 3 sites in Mid-Wales, Makefast is a medium sized business employing over 90 permanent members of staff.

The company prides itself in the ability to design and manufacture engineering innovative and contemporary products and the use of quality materials.

**The Role**

Due to internal promotion, Makefast are looking for a Stores Operatives to join their team of pickers and goods in receivers.

**Responsibilities/Duties**
- Accurate picking and despatch of works orders to production cells via Kard3 and Kard4.
- Bagging, labelling and storing finished products.
- Accurate recordings of stock within Kardex machine
- Responsible in ensuring externally and internally supplied goods are correctly and accurately booked into stock
- Undertake basic “goods in” inspection
- Ensure goods are booked in on regular basis ensuring “goods in” area is maintained in a safe and orderly manner
- Undertake liaison with quality department in the event of non-conforming products.
- Responsible for the safe storage of raw material and finished goods, whilst maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within stores area.
