**About the NPD Technologist job**:
As NPD Technologist you will assist with the implementation, supervision and maintenance of the product development systems and documentation, ensuring compliance with the company quality and food safety system.

You will take ownership and delivery of your allocated NPD projects from concept to launch, with adherence to all stages of the NPD process, delivering cost effective products that meet customer expectations.

**Key tasks**:

- Ensure compliance with the HACCP system and monitoring procedures.
- Control and document NPD activities including factory trials and shelf-life testing.
- Assist with the management and review of recipes.
- Assist with ingredient declarations and allergen awareness.
- Assist and validate production processes for new or updated developments.
- Conduct sensory analysis.
- Compile product labels for new products.
- Communicate with customers to ensure the NPD process runs smoothly and customer expectations are met.
- Formulate commercially viable product recipes to comply with agreed specifications.
- Assist in the smooth transfer of products from kitchen and factory trials and introducing new products into full scale manufacturing.
- Prepare product specifications and coordinate the artwork approval process.

**About You**:

- Educated to a degree level in a food discipline i.e. Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, etc.
- At least 1 year experience working in food NPD - this could be from a university placement, internship or similar.
- It literate including Excel and ideally experience using nutritional databases.
- Strong creative flair, with an interest in working with new product concepts and development projects.

The NPD Technologist job is based in Hampshire and is paying £28,350.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4.30 pm.
