We are looking for an outstanding Leading Practitioner to provide both excellent teaching and lead on developing English departments in our academies. The English Lead Practitioner should support the Senior Leadership Team to create a culture of constant improvements and be an inspirational leader. The Lead Practitioner will do everything possible to raise the quality of teaching and learning in the academies they are working with and directly with the people they coach. This will be achieved primarily through contributing to Trust-wide curriculum development and through modelling, coaching and delivery of CPD.

**_ Who we are looking for_**
- Degree in English
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Knowledge of current educational developments and issues
- Capacity to develop, deliver, monitor and evaluate initial and in-service training of English teachers so as to ensure that developments in English curricula are understood, further developed, enthusiastically embraced and efficiently taught by teachers of English at all levels of development
- Experience of successful leadership and curriculum development in English education
- Proven track record of securing strong academic performance and raising standards of achievement through student outcomes in English
- A passion for education and particularly the delivery of English
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and be approachable to a variety of audiences
