**Senior Microsoft Consultant**
Reports to: VP, Cloud Transformation

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Secure-24 is looking for an Active Directory Engineer who can discover, assess, architect and remediate large scale Active Directory and Windows Server enterprise environments. The ability to demonstrate proficiency with Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Sites and Services as well as other core Active Directory Technologies is a must.

Knowledge with other Microsoft Platforms and software including SQL, Exchange, O365, Azure Active Directory, ADFS is a strong plus. The position ranges from customer assessment all the way though project-based architecture, solution delivery and issue remediation. Strong documentation and communication skills are required.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Assist in development of Statements of Work with the Sales and Pre-Sales Teams.
- Help develop Microsoft based solutions for go to market strategy.
- Provide detailed assessment of existing customer environments.
- Provide assessment and remediation guidance for design, architecture, and support of Microsoft Active Directory and key subcomponents.
- Implement scalable solutions to support critical infrastructure services running in Active Directory, such as LDAP, DNS, and authentication / identity solutions.
- Collaborate with Governance, Risk, and Compliance to mitigate vulnerabilities, define and implement security policies and baseline standards.
- Ability to assess, architect and oversee deployment of next generation file service collaboration (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams etc)
- Advanced knowledge of concepts of authentication, authorization, Active Directory Policies, directory resource administration, and web filtering solutions.
- Distributed File System (DFS) design and best practices
- Assess and Implement server hardening/security best practices
- Server performance/capacity planning
- Thorough environment documentation
- Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science/information Systems or equivalent
- 7 - 10 years experience in managing Microsoft Systems in a 24x7 environment
- 5 - 10 years experience managing mid to enterprise Microsoft Environments. Specialization in Exchange, SQL bonus.
- Microsoft Certification or equivalent preferred.
- Experienced with Active Directory migration efforts relating to business mergers, acquisitions & divestitures.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (Windows 2008, 2016 and 2019), performance monitoring and tuning
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Exchange experience is preferred
- Solid understanding of Microsoft SQL experience is preferred
- Solid understating of Clustering and other high availability technologies is preferred
- Strong understanding and experience of Active Directory and group policy
- Strong knowledge and understanding of scripting with PowerShell
- Strong leadership skills to effectively mentor and lead junior level personnel
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills for design, creation and testing of complex systems
- Strong understanding of architecture (Not an architect)
