**Salary**: £20972- £24,627 per year based on 37 hr week (plus additional £3528-£5544 on top of your salary for sleepovers, please note sleepover payments will vary depending on rota)

We are looking for an experienced Child Care Worker who is passionate about care and is looking for an opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills to come and join our friendly team in Lochgelly

**Residential Child Care Worker - The Role**:
You will be enthusiastic, have a good sense of humour, dynamic, like children and have a sound understanding of child development and Attachment Disorders, we are looking for someone who has previous experience in working with children.

This position requires someone who will be innovative and promote the individual needs and rights of very vulnerable children. You will be required to;
- Write reports
- Attend meetings
- Attend children’s hearings
- Participate in family work

You will have responsibility for ensuring progression of the children's care plans and work in partnership with all professionals involved in the lives of the children being cared for in Crannoch.
- **Key Responsibilities**_
- Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment
- Undertaking household tasks
- Participation in activities with children to promote their needs in accordance with National Care Standards and the principles and values of GIRFEC

**Residential Child Care Worker - What we need from you**:
Ideally you should have completed or be in the process of completing your HNC in Social Services (or an award of certificated knowledge with 96 credits at or above SCQF Level 7) and or successfully have been assessed at SVQ Level

You should also have the ability and experience to contribute with colleagues to form individual personal plans and plan any therapeutic interventions.

Trauma as well as other topics, as required to enable staff to carry out their task of caring for children and young people.

- Able to work unsocial hours, including weekends
- Shift pattern, Full days & Sleep ins
- Must meet the SSSC registration requirements for the appropriate part of the register, have recent experience working with children in a residential childcare setting or similar and have basic computer skills
