Establish and maintain a working rapport with nursing, medical, technical, ancillary and administration colleagues To ensure that cleanliness is maintained within all areas of the department and to undertake necessary general domestic work. Report any deficiencies in equipment breakages and repairs required To maintain confidentiality of patients in all aspects Contribute any suggestions which may be helpful in the running of the department To collect and deliver within the hospital any items that are required by the department e.g. CSSD, pharmacy, wards To be flexible regarding the rostered shifts according to the needs of the service Understand the importance of infection control, undertaking any training as necessary Liaise with department cleaner to identify any additional cleaning requirements within the department and participate in the cleaning audit process Keep all storage areas clean and neat and promote a safe working environment Keep all public and clinical areas clean and tidy to expected standard as required in the department cleaning audit framework Assist with the quality testing of specialised equipment Please refer to the Job Description for the full specification of responsibilities and requirements for this post.
