Buying Assistant

SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Assistant Buyer to work on a 9-month fixed term contract for a growing business based in Leicester LE3.
Being a valued member of the Procurement team, you will:

- Be the main point of contact for all purchasing matters.
- Provide advice on the procurement for tender process.
- Monitor and ensure cost effective materials are purchased from new/existing suppliers.
- Check purchase ledger invoices against purchase orders and input purchase ledger invoices onto COINS system.
- Raise sales invoices and purchase orders when required
- Build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor and report on suppliers' performance on a regular basis.
- Monitor the schedule of works allowing lead time for specific orders.
- Coordinate contractual and new supplier negotiations.
- Resolve an issues or concerns raised by suppliers.
- Liaise with other teams, exchanging information and giving purchasing support to their functions.
- Liaise with the Accounts Team to ensure supplier invoices are processed in a timely manner.
- Review any material shortages and provide feedback to Senior Managers.
- Update supplier contact information as and when required.
In return you will be offered an attractive salary of up £28,000 and work office hours Monday-Friday. 2 days can be worked from home.
