**MELTER**

To work in a team operating VIM & VIDP furnaces.

Main

**Responsibilities**:
Contribute to the safe and efficient operation of furnaces through:

- Safe crane handling of electrodes and moulds
- Maintenance of a high standard of housekeeping in line with safety and QA hazard audit requirements.
- Adherence to QA procedures and generating/maintaining prime melt records.
- Charge preparation, charge mixing and furnace loading.
- Refractory preparation.
- Mould preparation, setting and stripping.
- Loading/discharging of large clamshell heat treatment furnaces.
- General crane and forklift truck movements.

**The role will be going on to a 4 ON 4 OFF off shift pattern as from JUNE/JULY**

**CANDIDATES WITH VACUUM INDUCTION MELTING IS ESSENTIAL ALTHOUGH CANDDATES WITH ESR OR VAR MAY BE CONSDERED.
