Machine Setter

Albert Bartlett are excited to share this opportunity for a solution-focused individual to join our experienced production team as a Machine Setter (Nights), in our state-of-the-art Chilled Factory, in Airdrie.

The Machine Setter role offers a challenging and unique blend of technical, production, and leadership responsibilities. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to own and run a production line in a fast-paced, dynamic, food production environment.

**About The Role**

You will be responsible for:

- Ensuring that all relevant safety checks are completed prior to start up each shift.
- Ensuring all start up and change processes are followed and recorded.
- Ensuring all auditable paperwork is completed and filed correctly.
- Proactively overseeing a production line and escalating to leaders when necessary.

Hours of Work:

- 22:15 - 07:00
- Sunday - Thursday
- 40 hours per week

Rate of Pay:

- From £12.90 - £13.96 per hour
- Overtime allowance for all hours above 40

Our story began in 1948, when Albert Bartlett started our family tradition of selling good-quality produce by setting up a beetroot-boiling operation in Coatbridge, Scotland. Nine years later, Albert’s experience and expertise helped him grow the business, and along with his two sons, Jimmy and Alex, he found a new home for their flourishing company in Airdrie, Scotland.

On that very same site, we made history when we became the first factory in Britain to pre-pack carrots in a plastic bag. Over the years, our expanding business has stayed true to Albert’s spirit of innovation and passion for quality, and we’ve built on our experience. Today, we proudly supply potatoes from our network of farmers and growers across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Jersey.
