Assistant Buyer

Arlington Moore is working on behalf of a well-established, successful company who are looking to appoint an Assistant Buyer to join their team.

Working as the Assistant Buyer you will be responsible for assisting with supply chain activities including the procurement of parts, materials and consumables, and taking ownership of a series of key suppliers.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Buyer
- Gaining a deeper understanding on cost whilst understanding the wider strategic purchasing direction
- Conducting cost-breakdown analysis
- Analysing and ensuring accurate predictions of upcoming customer demand
- Assisting working with suppliers on performance improvement
- Undertaking sourcing of materials, obtaining competitive prices, checking availability and evaluating quality information
- Assisting with the liaison with suppliers in connection with all aspects of the procurement process including monitoring supplier performance ensuring approved suppliers provide the highest level of service
- Identifying new suppliers, learning how to agree terms and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including discounts and volume rebates

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of the Buyer
- Experience as in purchasing is desirable
- Proficient in use of Microsoft-based systems including Excel

This is an exciting role for an individual looking to grow their career in purchasing. We would also consider a Graduate with a business or supply chain degree.

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
