Powder Coating Operative

**We are currently **recruiting** for a full time permanent PTS Powder Coating Operative** based in our Belfast plant.**

**Rate of pay is £13.25**

**Hours: 37 hours plus overtime at premium rates.**

**The main function of the role**:
To ensure all Calor cylinders are powder coated to the required standard during the requalification process.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities will include**:
1. Efficient running of the automated powder coating room including start up, shutdown, colour changing, size changing and clean down.

2. Checking and recording powder coating quality at various stages of the shift and making adjustments when required.

3. Working with the maintenance fitter to ensure all maintenance activities are completed in a timely manner.

4. General housekeeping of the powder coating room.

**Other Duties and Responsibilities will include**:
5. Upload/reload cylinder pallets/vehicles.

6. Identify and segregate cylinders for approval to scrap.

7. Identify and segregate cylinders for re-qualification, refurbish or powder coating.

8. Internally/externally inspect cylinders.

9. Shot blast cylinders as required.

10. Tare weigh, stencil, valve, gas charge and leak test cylinders before returning to customer.

11. Carry out quality checks throughout the production process as required.

12. Report any quality issues to the Chargehand or PTS Manager.

13. Load cylinders for scrapping.

14. Housekeeping as required.

15. Other general duties.

16. Refurbish valves as required.

17. Drive forklift truck as required.

18. Carry out all duties in accordance with the current standards and specifications.

19. Engineering and maintenance duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to read and understand technical guidance in the English language is essential.
- Previous powder coating and production experience is essential.
- FLT licence would be an advantage.
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
- All successful applicants must provide a recent NIAccess Report.
