Head of Procurement

I am recruiting for a Head of Procurement - Infrastructure for a leading telecommunications provider, it's an extremely fast paced and agile environment and am looking for a strong category manager, category lead or head of procurement to take up this exciting position.

You will be managing telco infrastructure and construction suppliers and a spend of up to £100m, driving the category with a hands on nature as our client matures as a procurement organisation. You will need strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts and be able to deliver commercial advantage as well as excellent stakeholder management skills with C-Suite executives. You will also be managing a small team.

Responsiblities:

- Negotiation & Contract Management
- Create and develop results driven category and supplier management plans
- Drive supplier performance with key business stakeholders to ensure spend is actively managed
- Develop sources of supply with new and existing suppliers to fill demand and product development requirements
- Collaborate with suppliers to deliver mutual long term strategic benefit
- Deliver on procurement KPIs
- CRM
- Develop and maintain influential, close relationships with suppliers and stakeholders from exec level down
- Plan and implement procurement strategies
- Team management and development

**Required Skills**:

- Experience working within IT / Telco / Construction industries
- Strong focus on supplier evaluation and tendering / contracting
- Source to contract and procure to pay expertise
- Experienced working at team management level
- Strong contracting expertise: able to create and manage drafts and liaise directly with counsel to deliver negotiated agreements
- NEC & JCT strong knoweldge
- Experienced in delivering cost saving initiatives
- Analytical and strong presentation skills, excellent relationship and communication skills.
