Experienced Dog Groomer - Cuts4Scruffs Ltd.

Full Time (You will be required to work atleast one evening until 7pm and every other Saturday daytime, we are flexible on the remaining hours up to 35 hours per week total) £13 for Level 3 Qualified, £12.50 for experienced but not qualified.

THIS IS NOT A TRAINING POSITION, YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED WITHOUT EXPERIENCE WORKING AS A GROOMER. THE RELEVANT LEVEL 3 QUALIFICATIONS ARE HIGHLY DESIREABLE BUT NOT NECESSARY.

The Company: We are a growing pet grooming/retail company based in Kidderminster that offers its employees an exciting and unique career. Cuts4Scruffs Ltd was created to finally provide a grooming service that not only delivers high standards of grooming but also an experience that pets can enjoy. We are an open view salon and our main focus is on creating a calm, pleasant environment for pets so that they can learn to love being groomed; for example having playpens instead of cages. We are well known for the great care we take with clients, pets and employees alike.

The Position:
Below is what will be expected of you in this job role:

- You will deliver the very highest standard of pet care and as a Pet Groomer your main responsibility will be to bath, dry, trim nails, brushing, ear cleaning, teeth cleaning and hair/fur cutting and styling.
- You will have full responsibility and run all areas/aspects of the salon when working alone. You will also work well as part of a small team.
- You will be responsible for taking payments, messaging customers, making bookings, answering phonecalls etc
- You will deliver the very best customer service as you will be communicating with clients on a daily basis.
- You will help to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and good standards of housekeeping.
- You will continue training on the job by working with the salon owner or manager in order to keep up to date with the latest grooming techniques and keep the high standard of grooming styles that Cuts4Scruffs has always delivered.

About You:

- You’ll be a enthusiastic confident person, with a real passion for pets as well as being a great team player.
- You’ll love being part of a successful salon and you’ll be proactive in your approach.
- You MUST have experience of working with and handling pets in a professional environment as well as being able to groom most breeds to a high standard (please note that bathing and prepping your own pet at home does not qualify).
- You will respond to feedback well and always be eager to improve and evolve your work.
- You will not be afraid of hard work, pet grooming can be mentally and physically demanding. You will be working long days lifting heavy dogs, handling aggressive dogs, dealing with pets with disabilities etc.
- You will not be afraid of pets bodily fluids and be fully prepared to clean up urine, faeces, vomit etc.
- Having a grooming or pet care related qualification such as City and Guilds Level 3 or OCN Level 3 would also be beneficial.
- As a small company, it is extremely important that you will be a fully engaged and dedicated employee, caring about the progression and sustainability of the business. You MUST be reliable, trustworthy and be looking for LONG TERM employment.
