Multi Trades Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team in Glasgow as a Maintenance Handyman. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, supporting the team in carrying out general maintenance and planned/reactive tasks.

**Job Details**:

- Monday - Friday.
- 8.00am - 16.30pm.
- £11.28 p/h.
- Weekly Pay.
- Immediate Start.

**Responsibilities**:

- Undertake general maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep and functionality of our facilities.
- Execute planned and reactive maintenance within your area of expertise.
- Collaborate with suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.
- Assist other skilled trades in maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection, and installations.
- Perform minor repairs to the building fabric, prioritizing the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors.
- Respond effectively and safely to adverse weather conditions, such as snow clearing, gritting, flooding, and high winds.
- Engage in ongoing training to enhance your skills and stay updated on industry requirements.
- Undertake duties at various sites within our portfolio as assigned.
- Ensure strict adherence to Health and Safety policies across all sites.
- Foster positive relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction.
- Timely response to maintenance issues, reducing penalty deductions in line with Concession/Project Agreement requirements.
- Maintain accurate servicing records, adhering to statutory guidelines.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in building service systems, technical services provision, and general maintenance is beneficial, but training will be provided.
- A solid background in general construction will be advantageous.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Exhibit professionalism and presentability at all times when representing the company.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with operatives, managers, and supervisors.
- Proactive problem-solving attitude, with the ability to escalate issues when necessary.
- Flexibility to undertake mandatory training in various areas, including IT, logistics, customer service, manual handling, health and safety, COSHH, and fire safety.
