**Job Description**:
**We are actively recruiting for a Stores/Sales Assistant to join our clients site based in Stockton, they are the largest provider of industrial, medical and special gases in the UK and Ireland.**

**Requirements**:

- UK Driving Licence as some travelling will be required to other sites- A large portion of this role will involve manual handling, so you will need to be physically fit and able to lift heavy gas cylinders and other goods.**What You Will Enjoy Doing**
- You will provide ‘best in class’ customer service to all collect customers- Furthermore, you will achieve gas and equipment product growth, while maximising margins and identifying opportunities to achieve sales targets- You will ensure that the Gas & Gear core product ranges and gases are well stocked and customer back orders are fulfilled will be part of your job- You will open new accounts and retain existing ones- In addition, you enthusiastically participate in national promotions- You will be improving the internal merchandising of the store, to ensure all local and national campaign material is professionally displayed and promoted.- You will conduct local in store demonstrations to assist sales activity- Also, you will deputise for the store manager when needed- You will ensure the site is fully secure both day and night- You will actively promote safe working practices and information to customers, staff, visitors and contractors on site- Additionally, you will assist the store manager and take responsibility for all internal compliance, including SHEQ, cash, stock, credit and ordering- You will control costs and identify/recommend savings- As a highly visible part of the company, you will actively re-enforce and promote the brand and values**What Makes You Great**
- You have physical fitness and manual handling skills- You have capability to be trained to use Forklift Truck and other equipment- You have excellent Customer Service skills- You have strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to develop productive working relationships- Also, you have good understanding of computerised systems and an adopter of new technology- You are confident and able to work to targets- Furthermore, you are proactive and able to work without supervision- You are highly organised- And finally, you must have a high level of personal IntegrityShifts:
Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
