We are looking for an ECT for Year 1 in Watford, Hertfordshire from September 2024 This is an opportunity to work within a ‘Good’ primary school in Watford, Hertfordshire.

**Responsibilities of a Year 1 teacher**:

- Plan and deliver engaging and effective classes to Year 1 students based on the National Curriculum.
- Provide ongoing feedback and support to Year 1 students to encourage growth and development.
- Create a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices.
- Use data to inform teaching decisions and adapt instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on Year 1 student progress.
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

**Suitable Applicants Must Have**:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching Year 1 in a primary school setting.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dedication to providing high-quality education to children.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across various departments and schools.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
