To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a proven track record in effective contract information and clinical coding management, and possess exceptional management and communication skills, as well as excellent analytical and technical skills.

The ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple and conflicting deadlines is essential.

The postholder will manage the Trust’s Contract Information and Clinical Coding Teams, line managing the Clinical Coding Manager and the Senior Contract Information Analyst.

The post holder is responsible for ensuring that NHS contract information data requirements are met at all times and that the mandatory Commissioning Datasets and Secondary Users Services submissions are submitted accurately and on a timely basis.

The postholder is responsible for the continual development and improvement of efficient and effective data processing, user defined dashboards, data analysis and reports to meet contractual and internal requirements.

The postholder is responsible for identifying internal and external developments impacting on contract information and clinical coding to ensure that compliance is maintained.

The Head of Contract Information and Finance Business Intelligence role will provide services to design, collaborate, co-ordinate, develop, implement and support a portfolio of Informatics & Finance reporting.

This work will focus predominantly on delivering high quality business information from disparate systems within a consistent and stable design framework based on solid business and DQ rules.

It is the responsibility of the role to lead on all aspects of this data management and champion the delivery of robust data and information platforms across the Trust. The standards for delivery are high, as the data and information sources will be used to drive Commissioner, Departmental and Financial decision making.

Work closely with the wider Strategic Finance Team and other senior managers within Trust services, providing advice, guidance and support to ensure that they are able to meet data and financial reporting deadlines.

The post holder will manage and develop the Contract Information and Clinical Coding teams, ensuring the Clinical Coding team meet monthly coding deadlines, statutory training and audit obligations and coding software upgrades, and that the Contract Information team meet weekly and monthly commissioner submission deadlines.

The post holder will work closely with the Data Engineering & Analytics teams to specify and test data warehousing deliverables relating to financial and other data, System Architecture and software products. The post holder will be responsible for two-way communication of changes, requirements and developments impacting on contract information, data engineering and analytics, and will attend relevant meetings with the Data Engineering and Analytics teams.
