Payroll Advisor

**About the opportunity**:
We are recruiting for a Payroll Advisor to join our People team at our Customer Support Centre based in Walsall. The Payroll Advisor will ensure the accurate and timely processing of three different pay runs (weekly, 4-weekly and monthly), across the UK and Ireland Poundland and Dealz businesses. Working as part of a team, providing excellent customer service to all our colleagues is at the heart of this role, your knowledge of Payroll in a busy high-volume environment, is a given.

This is a 12-month Fixed term contract

This role will be full time Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

**What you'll be doing...**:

- Processing payroll for around 18,000 colleagues in a busy high-volume environment
- Supporting different payroll processes for weekly pay, 4 weekly pay and monthly pay in retail (UK &Ireland) distribution centres and our customer support centre
- Answering colleague queries effectively and efficiently
- Providing excellent customer service to a wide range of customers from store colleagues to board directors
- Involvement in process improvements that will drive cost and time savings

**What you'll need...**:
Experience with different payroll software i.e., frontier, SAP, Oracle etc
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- High standard of numerical skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with payroll data entry & competent with spreadsheets. Knowledge of V-look ups would be an advantage
- Experience of processing payroll of over 5,000 colleagues
