Junior Buyer

I am recruiting for a Junior Buyer to join my client based in North Norfolk.This is a full time, permanent position and a great opportunity for an ambitious person who is looking to develop a career in Buying.
Reporting to the Head Buyer, the Junior Buyer will support in the selection and purchase of goods to ensure the company's objectives for growth are met.
Daily duties:

- Support the Head Buyer with the development of product category strategies by undertaking market analysis and research.
- Assist with administrative tasks and supplier management where appropriate.
- Shadow the Head Buyer with a view to take on more tasks and become more involved in the buying process
- Support in collating supplier samples and brochures for new product selection where appropriate.
- Manage any supplier invoice queries
- Understand your market and customer requirements to assist with product selection
- Proactively contribute to the purchasing discussions
- Any other tasks which will assist the Head Buyer and contribute to your development

This role would suit someone who has some experience in retail and/or buying and is looking for a new challenge.This is an opportunity to learn from the Head Buyer and develop your knowledge and career.You will be working for a successful brand with goodprogression paths.
Requirements for the role:

- Strong administrative and customer service skills
- Strong relationship builder
- Ability to influence and negotiate
- Commercial awareness
- Retail and/or buying experience
- Experience working in homeware would be an advantage, however not essential.
