Unique opportunity to lead electrical safety within a complex organisation which utilises some of the most advanced research and production facilities in the world.

The Senior Electrical Safety Manager role is equivalent to the JSP 375 Senior Authorising Authority/Engineer role.

**Senior Electrical Safety Manager**

Location - Reading / Basingstoke Area

Salary - £70,000 - £87,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

As the Senior Electrical Safety Manager, you will report directly to the Chief Engineer for Sites & Assets and be required to:

- Provide a focal point for advice, information and expertise on policy, best practice and electrical safety engineering knowledge
- Monitor AWE's compliance with electrical legislation, standards and relevant good practice
- Provide an Intelligent Customer interface with AWE's Regulators at a corporate level
- Build and maintain communications with other organisations to share best practice and improve
- Help to shape AWE's future as a world class company
- Be a role model in excellence, integrity and accountability

Ideal attributes for this role include:

- Experience in electrical safety throughout the asset lifecycle (design to decommissioning)
- Experience of working within a regulated industry
- Experience as an Authorising Engineer (JSP 375), or equivalent
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or working towards professional recognition
- Level 4 qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent technical experience
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS7671-2008 (C&G 2382)
- Electrical Inspection and Testing (C&G 2391)
- NEBOSH General Certificate or recognised Health & Safety qualification
