**Role Description**:
Working as part of a small team to ensure continued supply of required goods and materials to meet operational needs (inc. sufficient stock for production to meet sales forecasts and New Product Introduction (NPI) requirements). Identification, qualification, and monitoring of new and existing suppliers, ensuring price, quality, performance, and delivery expectations are met. Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement and business resilience. Provide timely escalation of issues or concerns which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.

**Responsibility Summary**:
**1**Specific Responsibilities of the Job**:

- Line management responsibility for Supply Chain Specialist & Stores Operative
- Negotiation of terms and pricing for supplier agreements and purchase orders
- Maintain the data integrity of the company MRP system.
- Responsible for accuracy for purchase orders, work orders and parts.
- Maintain parts database to ensure accurate price breaks, lead times, suppliers, categories &, QC requirements are documented.
- Perform quote analysis and final supplier selection.
- Monitoring, recording, and presenting supplier performance through Key Performance Indicators
- Oversee closure and resolution of purchase order invoice queries.
- Identify and manage cost reduction initiatives deliver cost savings through skilled negotiation
- Work on NPI projects be primary procurement representative, investigate supply sources.
- Champion and communicate goods receipt and company stores procedures to ensure company, supplier and employee compliance.
- Monthly reporting of stock levels and forecast deliveries and KPIs..
- Preparing documentation for client deliverables and import/export declarations for shipment.
- Ensure compliance with company manual and materials handling procedures.
- Oversee appropriate packaging, communication, and timely delivery of product to customers.
- Expedite documents from Suppliers and ensure recording on company ERP system.
- Provide cover for Supply Chain Purchasing Specialist and Stores Operative during absence.
- Undertake obligations in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 29001 as detailed in the Operations Manual.
- Develop and maintain proactive supplier relationships
- Build strong internal relationships and work with all areas to address purchasing issues and requirements.
- Recognise requirements for Industry Standards as relevant to work scope.
- Deal with day-to-day queries from customers/suppliers & employees.
- Work closely with the VIL Production team to ensure maximum levels of supplier quality are achieved.
- Work closely with the engineering team to manage procurement actions for product sustaining activities and new product introduction
- Work closely with the engineering team in terms of obsolescence management of components
- Liaising directly with the Viper Business Development team to ensure that Sales projections, pricing and schedules are met.
- Oversee stores operations to ensure on time delivery and receipt of goods, both inward and outward
- Conducting supplier audits

- Undertake obligations in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 29001 as detailed in the
- Operations Manual. Recognise requirements for Industry Standards as relevant to work scope.
- Adopt a pro-active approach to company and client QHSE initiatives and objectives.
- Ensure best practice is followed to achieve maximum levels of safety, quality and efficiency and take recognition
- of the environment and environmental impacts in all activities and decisions.
- Adopt continuous improvement approach to work ethic.
- Completion of internal audits as required.
