**Job Title**: Second in Charge (2iC)

**Location**: Lewisham

**Position Type**: Full-Time, Permanent

**Salary**: Paid to Scale

**Start Date**: Immediate start or for the new academic year

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Head of Department in the development and implementation of curriculum plans, ensuring alignment with national standards and educational best practices.
- Lead and support a team of dedicated educators, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging and differentiated learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of their student body.
- Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning outcomes, implementing interventions where necessary to drive continuous improvement.
- Play an active role in the school's pastoral care system, promoting the well-being and personal development of all students.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, carers, and external stakeholders, maintaining open lines of communication and partnership.

**Requirements**:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a proven track record of successful teaching and leadership within a secondary school setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to motivate and empower colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
