- LD471023We have an exciting opportunity for a Librarian to join our Collections team within the Content and Discovery section. Part of the Libraries department at the University of Nottingham, you will be based at King’s Meadow Campus on Lenton Lane, though some of your work may involve visiting our libraries. Across the university we have eight different Libraries and employ over 200 people.

As a Collections Librarian you will provide guidance and training to a small team who manage and develop library collections in line with teaching and research needs across seven Libraries and an off-site store. You will build strong working relationships with our two other Librarians in supporting and developing a broad range of consistently high-quality, user-focused services. Those services include decisions around the selection and movement of stock between libraries and stores, academic support for the online reading list system, evaluation of physical and online library materials using library systems data, and communicating collections-related activities to academics and library colleagues.

You will have excellent organisational skills, operational knowledge of collection management tools and techniques and ideally you will have a broad range of relevant library experience although this does not have to be in a university environment.

This is a permanent, part-time post of 18 hours per week, worked across 3 days (exact hours by agreement).

What can we offer you? A friendly and supportive working environment. Hybrid working arrangements with blended approach of home and office working each week. We are committed to providing competitive employment packages that support your well-being and help you reach your full potential. You will have access to a benefits package, including leading fitness and health facilities, staff discounts and travel schemes, along with a generous holiday allowance and pension scheme.
