As an Education Assessor, you can contribute to building a brighter future for many young people. You will join a friendly and supportive team at an exciting time of company growth and expansion.

You will meet with young people who are currently not attending school, often due to their SEN & SEMH needs, and work with both them and their families/carers towards their next steps in education. You will assess their needs, abilities and interests to ensure they are supported in the right way and move towards their goals and ambitions.

**Main Duties**
*Work face-to-face with children, young people, and their families/carers.
*Be responsible for compiling a detailed assessment of the young person’s educational, social, emotional and mental health needs.
*Review relevant documents such as school reports, risk assessments and Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs)
*Create in-depth documents, including the young person’s background information, personal learning plan including targets and intervention strategies and a robust Risk Assessment.

**What do you need?**
- Proven experience working with young people and their families/carers
- Excellent writing skills
- Unwavering commitment to Safeguarding
- The ability to assess education levels across EYFS, Primary, Secondary curriculums including functional skills.
- Experience of supporting and assessing learners who have SEN & SEMH needs
- Resilience, patience and empathy
- Excellent communication skills
- A good understanding of and adaptability to IT systems
- Access to your own vehicle (fuel costs are fully covered)
- Can stay away from home if necessary
