Reed Accountancy & Finance in are delighted to be working with a market leading manufacturer looking for a new Assistant Management Accountant to join their Finance Team.

The Assistant Management Accountant plays a crucial role of handling the day-to-day activities of the Accounting and Finance department and supports general accounting procedures.
- Preparation and reconciliation of invoice finance facility
- Process cash receipts and forecast future cash receipts for the weekly Cash Flow Forecast
- Review sales orders exceptions based on account credit position and communicate to relevant teams
- Review and improve sales ledger processes
- Produce routine reconciliation of accounts to ensure financial control and accuracy
- Post monthly general accounting journals fully supported with workings
- Provide cover for Finance Operations Manager
- General Accounting procedures and reconciliations as required to support the FC and FOM
- Support reporting and information for key stakeholders including Group, Auditors, HMRC, Bank + ONS
- Credit control, including chasing and collecting monies due from customers
- Support the management of Purchase Ledger Processes
- Other ad-hoc work as required to support the Finance function.
- New customer set up and review of credit terms
- Processes risk reviews, including assessing credit checks and credit insurance cover
- Deal with NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and customer queries in relation to these
- Producing Customer invoices and credit notes

Skills & Experience Required
- Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- 2+ years’ experience in a Finance Team - essential
- AAT or Accounting degree qualification - preferred
- Drive and ambition to progress within Finance function
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other computer systems and databases
- Ability to use initiative to organise themselves and others to ensure deadlines are met
- A flexible team player with the ability to work proactively
