Workshop Assistant

**We are hiring - Workshop Assistant / Maker**

**Part Time (20hrs/pw)
- Wellingborough, Northamptonshire**

We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual to join our team.

Trinkety Paws is one of the UK's leading manufacturer for high quality waterproof Dog Accessories. We have specialised in the design of high quality dog accessories, that are manufactured in our workshop in Northamptonshire.

We are looking for a very creative individual, who is a problem-solver with excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail. The ability to multitask, working efficiently without supervision, and meet changing deadlines is essential for the position. We are looking for someone who loves all things dogs, and is willing and able to work within a fast paced busy environment, can think on their feet and is a fast learner.

**General Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Creation & Design of our Dog Collars, Leads and Accessories
- Production of direct customer and larger wholesale orders to fast turnaround times
- Skilfully make our products from a vast product range and work independently on multiple incoming orders
- Being able to identify product differences and variations from a vast range of product options
- Packaging and preparing customer orders for dispatch, preparation of product labels and updating customer orders after dispatch accordingly.
- Working with the team during Trade Shows, large Dog Shows and Outdoor Events across the year and being able to travel independently to various UK locations when needed.
- Being able to assist customers in our onsite dog boutique and making their orders to specification and measurement
- Unpacking and lifting stock orders and deliveries when necessary
- Stocking shelves, packaging products and general housekeeping/tidying of the workshop.
- Assisting with and creation of social media content for our online channels such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

**Skills required**:

- Attention to detail and time management with a strong interest in skilled crafts
- Experience as a leather smith or experience of working with leather and/or similar materials would be an advantage
- Being able to prioritise tasks without supervision and work independently
- Great verbal and written communication skills when working with colleagues and customers
- Problem solving skills and being a fast learner, who is able to think on their feet
- Physical Organisation and being able to maintain an organized physical workspace
- A keen interest in dogs and is comfortable to work in a dog friendly and focused workshop and shop.
- A creative individual with an interest in dogs, that enjoys crafting and has experience with making handmade creations and designs. Means of transport are essential, due to our remote office location, and to be able to drive to multiple trade events across the UK.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable to be working with members of the public and colleagues with a friendly and engaging personality.
- Be reliable and trustworthy, and have a proactive approach and can-do attitude, and the willingness to work independently, without supervision.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11,960.00-£13,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 per week
