**About the role**As an Infection Prevention Control Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible carry out a wide range of tasks in support of the IP&C clinical professionals and you will be required to work to a high standard in all aspects of your work. Tasks include promoting best practice, auditing practice in respect to infection prevention and control and championing IPC practice to maintain standards.The post holder will participate in promoting and advancing DHU Health Care CIC, whilst working towards DHU’s

**Responsibilities**:
- Working within the multi-disciplinary team to deliver care, maintain and enhance the service to patients and satisfaction of service users under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner
- To report any failures in cleanliness standards after audit has been completed immediately to the person in charge/responsible for the site.
- To audit adherence to all aspects of Infection control in all areas of DHU Health Care CIC, including the use of colour coded equipment to ensure there is no spread of infection.
- Reporting maintenance faults and building fabric issues to the DHU Estates and Facilities team, in accordance with local procedure.
- Report any complaints or incidents on the appropriate forms and provide further information if required in a timely manner.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to all issues concerned within the service and adhere to the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1984

**Essential Qualifications & Experience**:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Basic knowledge of manual handling and health and safety regulations
- Able to work unsocial hours.
- Flexibility to meet service/rota needs.
- Basic knowledge of Infection Control procedures
**Desirable Skills**:
- NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Health Care
- Infection Prevention and Control Experience
