Brief overview of this role

To support our head gardener with tasks in the garden. We need to keep our gardens neat, tidy and
presentable as this reflects us as a business. Weeding, planting, watering, dead heading, digging, pruning,
lawn mowing, etc. Basically caring for an over sized private garden with borders and large lawns.

Full vacancy description
- To support the managers, residents and staff in the home, in ensuring that a safe environment is

maintained through relevant landscape maintenance and monitoring of health and safety standards.
- To ensure that an environment is created, with the help of the owner, maintenance manager and CQC

manager that is of an acceptable and safe standard.
- To ensure that all relevant statutory responsibilities and duties are carried out, met and maintained.

i.e. reporting to RIDDOR or HSE aspects that affect the running of the home.
- To be a role model to all staff.

NOT EXHAUSTIVE

Specific vacancy requirements

Own transport is essential as we are not on a bus route. The A142 is not suitable for pedestrians and the

public footpath across the fen can be used by free roaming horses and cattle.

Horticulture Skills.

Level 2 Diploma in Practical Horticultural Skills.

Level 3 Extended Diploma in Horticulture.
