Viridor Polymer Recycling produces high quality recycled plastics in pellet and flake every year, which are produced to tight specifications. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do, and we work closely with manufacturers, brand owners and retailers to develop materials that are fit for recycling.

We have an opportunity at our Avonmouth Polymers site for a Yard Supervisor to join our team, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The salary for this role will be **£34,738.00 **per year and participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.

As our Yard Supervisor, you will provide visible, hands on leadership to control the safe and efficient import and export of material, to and from site.

Supervising the team of Yard Operatives in their daily duties, you’ll ensure that all employees are aware of, and comply with Health and Safety guidelines and that safe systems of work are in place and being adhered to.

You’ll ensure the yard operates safely and effectively, enforcing the traffic management plan and be accountable for the vehicle movement and provide hands on support if required.

Working closely with the Quality Team, you will inspect and report on safety and quality concerns with incoming material and identify any quality concerns with bales or finished goods / by-products.

**What are we looking for?**
- A FLT and a IPAF certificate and can safely operate fixed and mobile plant
- Experience working within a processing, manufacturing or similar environment
- The ability to operate in a pressurised and changing environment.
- Experience in working in a warehouse and / or Goods in and out.
- Specific waste / recycling industry experience would be an advantage, but not essential for this role.
