Transactional Payroll Officer

Recroot are looking for a Transactional Payroll Officer to join our client based with Havering Councill.

Ultimately, we pride ourselves on a consistent approach that gives our people access to the information they need, when they need it, but most importantly in a customer centric way

The role:

- Managing your own payroll portfolio
- Having responsibility to process data in line with relevant HMRC and other payroll and statutory legislation. i.e. Processing Statutory Sick Pay, Maternity Pay, Tax code changes
- Scrutinising payroll output to ensure accuracy of the months data input
- Being able to provide guidance and respond to questions from managers and employees
- Using the Oracle Fusion Payroll System, experience in this system is advantageous
- Working with other teams across the authority to ensure efficient service received to employees
- Where required calculating manual payments from gross to net.

**Salary**: £18.02 per hour
