Planner

**Planner, Brough, Monday-Thursday 0800-1700 / Friday 0800-1430, salary C £33,000 (could go higher for the right experience), 24 days holiday + BH, pension, life assurance.**

Our client is a fast-growing manufacturing company who are looking to appoint a Production Planner / Materials Planner or Forecaster for their site west of Hull. This is a combined role to schedule and control supply of components / material to meet the production plan and ensure sufficient stock levels are in place to support forecasted demand, working within the organisation to ensure as to ensure a smooth and cost-efficient manufacturing process. The Planner role will also have responsibility for sourcing raw material parts for production and inventory for sale.

Key Duties and Responsibilities of the Production Planner / Materials Planner
- Working with customer forecasts to develop a supply plan to support customer needs
- Assuring supply of raw materials to support the production schedule
- Inventory management
- Developing production capacity plan with manufacturing team and identifying any risk areas to the production plan
- Responsible for the movement of each production order through the manufacturing process
- Bills of material maintenance
- Developing supplier relationships to allow constructive discussions for on-going supply and business improvements
- Reporting on supplier performance and taking corrective actions with the purchasing team
- Coordinating production workflow for products

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of the Production Planner / Materials Planner or Forecaster
- Proven experience in forecasting, inventory planning, materials planning or production planning in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and communication skills
