**About the client**:
Situated within the serene surroundings of St. Asaph, the hospice offers a comforting and tranquil environment for patients to receive specialized medical care, pain management, and emotional support. The dedicated team of healthcare professionals and volunteers at the hospice is committed to enhancing the quality of life for patients by addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

**Hours of work**:
Wednesday - Saturday, between the hours of 09:00 - 14:00

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Thoroughly disinfect and sanitise medical equipment, surfaces, and rooms.
- Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
- Properly handle and dispose of medical waste according to guidelines.
- Clean and sanitise public areas like waiting rooms, restrooms, and corridors.
- Perform specialised cleaning in critical areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in public areas.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and functional.
- Communicate maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
- Keep accurate records of cleaning activities for compliance.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using PPE as needed.
- Respond to emergency cleaning situations effectively.
- Collaborate with cleaning and medical staff for a clean environment.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
- Standard DBS is required.
