**What is the Role?**

The Data Services Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the Half Hourly data is processed in accordance with the balance & settlement code (BSC), and ensure the company fulfils its requirements under BSC in a timely manner without incurring any financial penalties for non-compliance. You'll also be responsible for resolving any dial failures quickly & efficiently by liaising with third party agents, as well as providing reports to customers regarding their Half Hourly data. Part of this role includes responding to any customer enquiries, providing an excellent customer service.

The Half Hourly consumption data is remotely collected from the customer's electricity meter daily in 48 half-hour periods. This half hourly data is then validated and issued to the registered electricity supplier for billing. The data is also used for settlement purposes, and we are regulated to achieve 99% of actual data across the portfolio.

The team will be dealing with a large amount of data and reporting daily. The work you will carry out has legislative as well as financial impacts for the company and other parties within the UK energy market framework. Although part of a team, you must be able to work independently and take ownership of issues/problems that arise and work through to a successful resolution. This is to ensure we provide excellent customer service and meet our obligations as a company.

**What do I need?**

To be considered for this role, we'd love you to have:

- Experience in a similar data administrator role, ideally with an understanding of the UK energy market and the Elexon balance & settlement code (BSC).
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, etc) and their range of functions.
- Able to communicate ideas and manage expectations from a range of stakeholders internally (your team/ other colleagues) & externally (customers).
- An organised approach: able to manage your own time (given BSC requirements), detail-conscious, passion for accuracy, flexible and comfortable pivoting your approach to try out new ideas to achieve the right outcomes for the business.
- Collaborative thinker and keen to share ideas and help others.
- A strong team player.
